Microsoft: Trustworthy
Computing Direct Mail Initiative
The Brief:
As
part of their 'Trustworthy Computing' marketing
campaign, Microsoft initiated a direct mailing
program where customers will receive a CD
containing the latest Windows security patches by
mail.
The Challenge:
To
propose a series of packaged premiums for the
direct mailing programs. The overall weight and
dimension of the overall package had to be optimal
for the delivery via mail.
The
Result:

Lock
The
Process:
Paying particular attention to
size and weight restrictions, Red Pod proposed
including a combination luggage lock as part of
the direct mailer. This was also a very suitable
item since the project revolved around 'security'.
The design of the direct mailer consisted of an
A5-size folder that contained the lock, the
security CDs and brochures. The direct mailers
were very well received by the customers. The
clients were so pleased with the results that they
have decided to replicate the direct mailers for
the other non-English version of Windows.
