Founded in Singapore in 1999, Red Pod has grown into a multi-national company with presence in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Shanghai, China as well as in San Francisco, USA.

Our Management Team

Charlie Giang - Founder / CEO (Singapore / USA)

Charlie has a Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and an MBA with the University of Birmingham, UK. His out sourcing career began with Tyco International where he worked as a Regional Manager for Tyco International and was responsible for Marketing and Sales in the Asia Pacific region. In that time, he visited and worked with factories around Asia developing manufacturing facilities of mechanical products. Ranging from Cast Iron Molding, Steel, Plastics and EPDM material coating of special valves and pipe fittings. Having to audit and qualify both factory and people, he needed to make sure that these factories complied by US' Factory Mutual and Underwriter's Laboratories standards.

He worked with the Red Pod Group subsequently in a similar capacity but extended those out sourcing capabilities to include other form of materials like woven products of natural and synthetic fibers, wood manufacturing, plastic injection moldings, metal forming etc. Working with companies such as Coca Cola, Sony, Hewlett Package, Cisco, Gap, MGM group etc he had to make sure that these factories around Asia complied by US trading regulatory standards. He has visited more than 500 different factories and has worked with about 80 over the course of his career.
 
Sujono - Founder / COO (China) 
 

Sujono graduated from the National University of Singapore in Computer Science. He started his career in China focusing on textiles and business development. With over 15 years of experience in China, Sujono is Red Pod's expert in sourcing, trading and product development. Sujono's key role in Red Pod is to continually set up first class production facilities to fulfill the needs for design sourcing solutions
